Blue Line Community Outreach is committed to fostering public education about police–citizen interactions. By clarifying commonly misunderstood actions, procedures, and protocols, we aim to build trust, reduce conflict, and create a safer environment for both citizens and police officers.

In an era of strained police-citizen relationships and rampant online misinformation, Sergeant Miles of Blue Line Community Outreach is taking action. His mission: to educate young drivers about what to expect — and how to respond — during motor vehicle stops.
Knowledge builds confidence. Confidence reduces fear.

Sergeant Miles of Blue Line Community Outreach provides a clear and practical breakdown of the New Jersey Use of Force Policy, including:
An explanation of the core standards that guide officers’ decisions, including proportionality, necessity, and reasonableness during encounters.
A walkthrough of how officers assess situations in real time, the factors that influence their response options, and how training shapes decision‑making.
Insight into how use‑of‑force incidents are documented, reviewed by supervisors, and evaluated to ensure compliance with state requirements and agency expectations.
